In the fall of 2020, after playing one session of Mörk Borg and being inspired by the writing and layout of the book, Brian sculpted the ravenous Wör Hound. Once this physical manifestation of terror was unleashed, Brian knew a setting for the beast had to be made. He recruited Ross Brandt, a friend and colleague (who GM’d the Mörk Borg adventure) to help develop a sci-fi hack of the Mörk Borg game. As sculptures, ideas, illustrations and stories flowed, Vast Grimm was crowdfunded in 2021 and became the first Sci Fi hack of Mork Borg to hit the verse. People around the world are now playing in this weird, over-the-top, sci-fi setting. To date the core book has been translated into Italian and Spanish, with Hungarian on the way.
In September of 2024 Brian began to self-publish additional works through his own company Creature Curation under the Vast Grimm third party license and Grimm Expanse Imprint Brand.
